Nobody deserves a great result more than Jonathan Page. One wonders what Katie Compton's result might have been if she'd had Page's experience in European ’cross races. It makes you eager for next season already.
For me, though, we have to be excited about our future, given the likes of Danny Summerhill and Alex Coehlo. Having watched these boys on the local circuit, we knew they were strong, but this result for Danny is so exciting. Now we get Coehlo healthy and the Euro's better watch out.

Let’s win next year

Congrats to all the Americans at world’s. This has been one of the best ’cross seasons ever, and I really enjoyed following everyone throughout the season.
Let’s go another notch higher next year!

Yeah, what he said

Belgium may still reign supreme in cyclo-cross, but this weekend made it clear that the United States can no longer be underestimated.
With silvers for Jonathan Page, Katie Compton and Danny Summerhill, the top step on the podium doesn't seem nearly as high (and insurmountable) as it once did.

A big ‘well done’ to everyone
Editor:
I spent two hours yesterday riding in sub-freezing degree weather, not expecting to run into many other cyclists (which happens a lot in rural Montana).
Halfway through I actually see another bloke and I wait for him at a crossroad. He stops, says hi and blurts out, "Hey, how about world’s?" I don’t know if he could tell I was beaming with pride before our encounter or not, but we bragged up our fellow Americans briefly and then went our separate ways.
Absolutely beautiful day! All the riders and coaches deserve a huge, "Well done!"

Love it or leave it

Three Yanks medal at the worlds! If that isn't enough to make any cycling fan feel warm and cozy all over, find another sport to participate in.
