I'm very confused over Floyd Landis's decisionnot to have his remaining B-samples tested for exogenous testosterone.I understand that Floyd, as an American, is used to "innocent until provenguilty" trials. However, it seems to me that proving his innocenceby testing the remaining samples (in a lab other than Châtenay-Malabry)would be in his best interest.It seems that a number of other cyclists could have similarly proventheir innocence. Tyler Hamilton could have submitted to more bloodtesting right after his blood doping charges. And riders caught upin the Operación Puerto affair could just donate some DNA for testing.Maybe these riders don't want to give up their privacy, but as publicfigures they would gain great advantage in their cases if they would justallow further testing. Their innocence could then be proven and they couldget back to racing sooner.Unless, of course, they really are guilty. I'm sure I am not theonly person leaning towards that conclusion.
