SIMONI HEADS TO Oz WITH NEW FI'ZI:K SADDLE: THE LIMITED EDITION AUSSIE ARIONE
-Technology Plus Flexology Yields Power & Comfort-
14 January 2005 - Pozzoleone, Italy ¡V Gearing up for what is often considered the official start of the race season, even if just for warm climate training, Lampre-Caffita's Gilberto Simoni is off to Australia for his first Tour Down Under with an honorary saddle in tow: the Aussie Arione.
Paying respect to the hosting country and in honor of Simoni¡¦s first Tour Down Under, fi'zi:k called upon its limited edition material suppliers to produce the special cover for the saddle that all but bears his signature, oft referred to as the "Simoni saddle." The technology and features are the same "Wing Flex" technology (flexing sides), 30 centimeters in length and over 85 millimeters of rail adjustability. It's the same saddle that he helped develop at Milan's Bio Engineering Institute, the same saddle that carried him to his 2003 Giro d'Italia win, and the same saddle that carried his comrade, Damiano Cunego, to his 2004 Giro win. Most recently, it's the saddle that was voted Number Two (second to Shimano's Dura-Ace group) on a recent internet readers Poll.
Fi'zi:k's limited edition Saddles of Nations, on display at Interbike, were made for fi'zi:k sponsored cyclists selected to participate in the 2004 Olympics. The Aussie Arione saddle marks the first offering of these saddles ¡V and only 50 will be made. If the Aussie Arione is your desire, go directly to fi¡¦zi:k website to reserve your limited edition Arione: www.fizik.it.Fi¡¦zi:k saddles are distributed exclusively in the US by BikeMine, www.bikemine.com;1.800.223.3207
