Jonathan Page has a new team
Cyclocross racer Jonathan Page will race for the Wisconsin-based Planet Bike team next season, after earlier negotiating an end to his two-year contract with his European team Sunweb/Projob.
Page, who won a silver medal at the cyclocross world championships in 2007, will continue to try to improve on that placing. He also will participate in several U.S. races, including a new UCI event in Wisconsin that will bear his name.
Planet Bike, an accessories supplier, will also sponsor domestic elite cross racers Tristan Schouten and Marko LaLonde. The team will ride Ridley frames and team suppliers and sponsors include Challenge Tires, CinQo power meters, Lazer helmets, Thule, Shimano, Mavic and Vermarc clothing.
Page will race primarily in Europe, but plans to attend the US Nationals, Cross Vegas, and the Tailwinds Race in Michigan. He will race and conduct cyclocross clinics at the new UCI event, called "Madcross presents Jonathan Page’s Planet Bike Cup," scheduled for September 27-28 in Madison.
