Highroad’s Greg Henderson went pretty quick to win Wednesday’s stage 3 sprint — 81.3 kph to be exact; that’s more than 50 mph. We were able to take a look at the maximum values on Hendy’s SRM after the stage. Assuming he was putting out his hardest effort of the race in the final sprint it took 1250 watts to win.
He obviously has confidence in his new prototype TCR Advanced SL. The bike’s spec is robust and likely dictated by its intended purpose: To excel in the European theater. The bars and stem are from Pro and all aluminum, while the seat doesn’t sacrifice comfort for cushion, the Selle Italia Flite Team Issue is intended for the long haul.
The group is standard Shimano Dura-Ace with a SRM built in. His wheels appear to be Zipp’s 404 model.
