Jackson Stewart (Kodak Gallery-Sierra Nevada) and Christine Thorburn (Webcor Builders) won their respective races in the 32nd Testarossa Vineyards Cat's Hill Classic on Saturday in Los Gatos, California.

Los Gatos native Stewart outsprinted his longtime friend, former teammate, and 1998 Los Gatos High School classmate Zach Walker (McGuire-Langdale) for the win.

Stewart and Walker, with Ben Haldeman (Webcor Builders) and Glen Mitchell (Kodak Gallery-Sierra Nevada), had broken away with 15 laps remaining. Mitchell lost contact with four laps remaining and drifted back to a chasing trio - Erik Saunders (McGuire-Langdale), Bernard van Ulden (Webcor Builders) and Gen Kogure (Ritchey-VeloEuropa).

After Stewart took the win ahead of Walker and Haldeman, Mitchell crossed the line for fourth, followed by Saunders, van Ulden, Kogure, and field-sprint winner Dave McCook (Jelly Belly-PoolGel).

In the women’s race, 2004 Olympian Thorburn crossed the line alone after dropping breakaway companion Barbara Howe (VeloBella). Howe had bridged up to Thorburn and Stephanie Graeter (Webcor Builders), who fell off the break with six laps to go.

Webcor's Karen Brems won the field sprint for second place behind Thorburn, followed by Kim Cunningham (Morgan Stanley-24 Hour Fitness-Specialized) and Brenda Lyons (VeloBella).
