Lennard Zinn

BACKGROUND: Lennard Zinn, our longtime technical writer, joined VeloNews in 1987. He is also a frame builder frame builder, former U.S. national team rider, and author of many bicycle books including "Zinn and the Art of Mountain Bike Maintenance", "Zinn and the Art of Road Bike Maintenance" and "Zinn’s Cycling Primer: Maintenance Tips and Skill Building for Cyclists". He holds a bachelor’s in physics from Colorado College.

BIKES IN THE GARAGE: Three custom Zinn road bikes: ‘08 coupled travel titanium, ‘08 coupled travel steel and ‘08 magnesium; three custom Zinn mountain bikes: ‘08 Terra 3.0 titanium 3-inch-travel full suspension, ‘07 Megabike aluminum 3-inch-travel full suspension with Rohloff internal hub, ‘89 steel fillet-brazed mountain tandem (hardtail); and, at any time, many cool bikes being built for customers.
