Biography

Patxi has been riding since 1981 and turned pro in 2001 with Banesto.com. He is an overall strong rider with four wins under his belt. He has competed in the Giro d’Italia six times and has also competed in the Tour de France and the Vuelta a España. His stage win at the 2006 Paris-Nice helped boost him to second place overall, just 9 seconds behind Floyd Landis.
