Biography

A professional since 1997, Aerts has ridden for four different teams. In 2007 Aerts became only the 25th rider in history to have finished all three grand tours in a single season. At the Tour de France, he finished second in the race for the polka-dot mountains jersey in 2002 and second in the white best young rider classification in 1999.
