West Chester Iron Hill Twiight Criterium - Jul 11th, 2009
West Chester, PA – March 18, 2009 – Katie Walker, President of the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce, has announced that the fifth edition of the popular Iron Hill Twilight Criterium will be returning to the streets of downtown West Chester on Saturday, July 11, 2009.
Last year over 15,000 spectators filled the streets of West Chester to watch professional cyclists fight for supremacy around the .8-mile circuit course starting and finishing in front of title sponsor, Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant. In addition to the Pro Men’s race, the schedule of events will include an Amateur Men’s Criterium and an Elite Women’s Criterium. Also taking place will be the Kids’ Race, which attracted over 200 participating children last year.
In addition to the excitement of bike racing, visitors will once again find that all of last year’s activities will return, including the Main Line Today Community Festival and the Market Street Block Party.
“We’ve already been receiving many requests for information about the 2009 Edition of the Iron Hill Twilight Criterium,” said Ms. Walker. “The feedback from last year’s event has been uniformly positive from spectators, sponsor, participants and West Chester businesses. Now everybody can start making plans to be in West Chester on Saturday, July 11, 2009.”
