This year's mountain bike worlds are being held in Val di Sole, Italy, nearly three months before their usual spot on the race calendar, to accommodate this August's Olympic Games. While a world championships is always a prestigious event, this year the races have an extra level of interest because many countries will choose their Olympic teams based on their riders' performances at worlds.
